This weekend LALIGA Genuine bid farewell in Getafe, and it did so in the best possible way for our team, which was crowned champion of the Grupo Superación.
Real Oviedo Genuine needed to win their games against Leganés, Burgos and Rayo and so they did. In a competition that aims to share rather than compete, the team demonstrated throughout these months their fair play and good work on the pitch and earned the league title.
Los Azules have now played the four phases of the championship and finished with eleven wins, one draw and no defeats, and, above all, they carried the values of the institution they represent with pride, courage, and determination across the country.
A final touch to a tournament that reflects the firm commitment of Real Oviedo and its Foundation to normalising the practice of football for people with intellectual disabilities.
